Writingworkshop -- Neale's Writing Workshop

About Writingworkshop

This writing workshop is for review of current writing work by subscribers. Subscribers mail new work to the list and other subscribers read it and mail responses to the list. The original members participated in writing classes offered by Prof. Joe Haldeman at MIT in 2007.

This is an online version of the process that took place in classes. Class members submitted a draft, and all others wrote a response. It can be very helpful and stimulating to have an immediate audience for writing in progress. It's also stimulating to think about other people's writing and produce a constructive critique.

If you are interested in reviewing and submitting writing, you are welcome to join.

Please submit work and responses in a format that other people can read. Either plain ASCII text or PDF works. You can write in MS Word and convert to PDF. You can create PDF files on Windows using a free package such as CutePDF. On Mac creating PDF is trivial. Linux users can use TeX or GhostScript ps2pdf. OpenOffice Write (free and available for Windows, Mac and Linux) can import MS Word documents and output its own documents directly to PDF.

If it is too difficult to create PDFs, just about everyone can read MS Word 97 format or RTF format documents.

If dealing with the format issue is too hard, submit in any format and we will figure it out.
